Michael Macready a good deal shorter than Mike Murphy, and he's George Macready's height.Guess that's why the sudden click to show the Mikes closer to same height.Mike Macready not quite the actor his father was,but his dad lent him a lot of support for these Count Yorga films.Narrated the first, had bittersweet part in Return of Count Yorga, kinda funny, but makes me cry knowing he was very ill,put on much weight due to the tremendous addictive hold of smoking for so many years.Just love older Macready, would've loved the opportunity to give him a hug.Seemed like such a nice man,and kinda lonely and sad (many photos of George show him with very sad eyes).

Good vampire flick, improvement on stupid vampire schlock out today. Was to have been soft pornish, would've really ruined film if left as originally intended, thanks to Robert Quarry's insistence.George Macready was narrator, quite ill with emphysema by this time, slowly delivered narration, had noticeably developed a sing-song delivery after suffering sever respiratory issues in August 1967 during Peyton Place,he was on medical leave until October 1967 and left the series in January 1968,whether due to health or deterioration of the series or both. When he returned to the series Peyton,he was short of breath, and in all subsequent TV roles after.Count Yorga & Return of Count Yorga about his last films, and a terrific Tora Tora Tora performance as Cordell Hull US Sec'y Of State under FDR,who also retired due to failing health!
