I had wanted to see this film. Unfortunately, I had cataract surgery that morning. Please, please, would you please show this film again? I believe I will really enjoy this classic. Thank you so much TCM, for blessing us with so many beautiful and irreplaceable gems in film.

I was about eight years old when I saw this film in the theater. I think I sat through it about four times. I was the same age as the kid who saves his parents' vaudeville act. That was when I knew I would never be happy doing anything else but being in the business of show.I'm retired now, but during my acting career, I appeared on stage, on TV (soaps), and stopped counting after working on 125 feature films...and I defy you to find me in more than a dozen of them. But I had a great time and met some terrific people, many of whom I had admired all my life.If you haven't seen it, don't miss APRIL SHOWERS the next time it's scheduled on TCM! The song "April Showers" was one of the first songs that I couldn't get out of my head - especially after hearing Al Jolson sing it in The Jolson Story, another great film you can see on TCM.

Step back into a bygone era with this delightful film. Great performance by the leading stars. Nice story, music, and just a step back into time.
