One of the funniest Brit comedies ever made!
- Diug Jones
With a devilishly delightful script, masterly Dennis Price as the villain, and the bumbling efforts of his blackmail victims, this is a must-see.Though seldom shown, it's nothing short of brilliant - on a par with THE LAVENDER HILL MOB.The best moment for me is when a mother/daughter team of victims mistakenly think Terry-Thomas is the bad guy; they try to poison him and under cover of darkness, drop his body in a lake. Coming to, he doesn't shout, "Help! I'm drowning!" No. He flops an arm over some water weeds, saying,"...Move over, darling, would you..." Then, in his best anguished braying tenor, Shouts "Where am I?"You have to se this! Now I can rest satisfied - if TCM presents some other classics of outrageous English comedy: A RUN FOR YOUR MONEY and Kenneth More starring in MAN IN THE MOON... and don't forget TIGHT LITTLE ISLAND!Please run them soon. Thanks for the laughs! DB Jones
