I was surprised to find this movie so humorous. It was a delight to witness Price, Karloff and Lorre's mannerly discourse - very funny. It reminds me of the "gentlemen" thief idea. Whether robbing a stagecoach or a jewelry store or plying magic it is all done in a very polite fashion. I wish there were more of these type comedies. Well done and a new favorite of mine.

  • NOT a horror film.

Viewers should know that his film is a comedy, not a horror film. The actors are just having fun with it.

Vincent Price is one of my favorite actors. I bought this movie on VHS when my son was 5 years old, he is now 18. He loves that movie and has been looking for it for the last 5 years on DVD. It has the perfect amount of scary in it.

I grew up with Vincent Price, and although most of his flicks creeped me out, this fun comedy is my all time favorite Vincent Price piece. Jack Nicholson and Peter Lorre play fantastic supporting roles, and Boris does his best to keep the film creepy. I have never seen Boris Karloff play in a comedy like this before. This is a masterpiece, and a must for the DVD library!!!!
