So bummed that Separate Tables was on at Four O'Clock in the morning Pacific Time. I've been wanting to see this movie for so long and can't seem to find it on DVD, at least according to Netflix. You both say it's on DVD though. Anyway, I wish TCM would show rarer movies like this one in prime time rather then in the middle of the night. Yes, I know it isn't the m-o-t-n on the east coast but it's still early. Since I've never seen this movie I can't comment on it, but hopefully when it is on again, I can because it will be on later in the day.

I wish this movie was DVD again. I like David Niven, who won an Academy Award for best actor. I also Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr, and Rita Hayworth. This movie even won for best supporting actress, Wendy Hiller.

Our Library has it, but I'll have to borrow it again to get the production details! Such an intense study of these hotel guests, each suffering with individual pathos, yet interacting in a multi-layered story-arc that climaxes with a common solution... outstanding performances by David Niven and Deborah Kerr (one of her first, I think?)... plus the brilliance of Wendy Hiller, Burt Lancaster, Rita Hayworth... all under one roof... it's a GREAT film.
