Um filme excelente

Um filme excelente que lembra como Clark e Jean tinham química. E a direção de Sam Wood é excelente. Eu lamento do filme ainda não fazer parte do Acervo do TCM, pois é muito bom o filme.

A MUST SEE HARLOW/GABLE FILM!
- Randy Williamson
- 5/16/09
This film will surprise you how entertaining it is. Harlow and Gable play off of each other very well in this movie. They play two street-smart individuals who find as the film goes on they despartly need each other. It is a very witty and heartfelt film indeed. A film that is a great film to study Harlow and Gable!

Harlow a unique talent

The witty repartee between Gable and Harlow, as each is conning the other early on, is classic! It reminds me of Claudette Colbert with Gable in "It happened One Night", but of course there it is the "poor little rich girl" theme. Here, the hard exterior of both characters is melted by their need for each other. They are attracted by their mutual street wisdom, and we learn that even scoundrels can long for commitment and family. It looks bleak for a time, but in the tradition of pre-war film, all's well that ends well.
