Assignment in Brittany
- Lois El-Rehawy
- 7/31/10
I've been looking for this film for a while and can't believe it has never been released on dvd or video. I have seen this film many times. It is a testimony to the French resistance during WWII. It is also, I believe, the height of Jean Pierre Aumont's film career. He is at his best in this movie! Great acting all around! I look forward to the day when I can have it as part of my movie collection.

I saw this as a kid and have never forgotten it, always wishing to see it again. It's very enjoyable, exciting, romantic, all the good stuff. I'd love to see this one made available on DVD.

I first saw this years ago as a kid and instantly liked it, along with another Aumont war film, Cross of Lorraine. Since then, I've only seen it every now and then if I happne to tune in to TCM. Last time it was on, I taped it. Love to see it on DVD.

I saw most of this movie on TCM, probably 8 to 10 years ago. I missed the beginning. It was great if you like the 'made during the War' genre. It doesn't compare to The Seventh Cross or Watch on the Rhine, but it was fun to watch. Action, romance, History at the time that it was being made, tho of course very schmaltzy to us now. I've looked for it ever since. To no avail. And now I live where I can't get TCM. So, please TCM, release it on DVD. Or for fans like me that want instant gratification, it would be even better if I could download it. No cost of production. What do you think? Huh? Please?
