  • My favorite B-Film

I love this one-- it's the little film that could. It has some great music, some fast-paced action, and appealing leads (Dennis Morgan, John Payne & Gloria Dickson) to sustain our interest. What impresses me most is the way this story deftly combines several different genres-- musical, police procedural, romance, mystery and gangster drama. It tries to be all things to all viewers, and since the cast is so versatile, it succeeds. And to think they packed it all into a film that doesn't even run a full hour! Great entertainment.

I missed some of your recent showing of this movie but was lucky enough to see and hear Dennis Morgan sing "You You Darlin"I would love to see this movie in full and would appreciate you advising when it will be aired again.

One of the more 'weird' "Crime Dramas" I ever saw! My Irish Nanny would've loved the singing...but...wow! what a stinker!

Just saw this movie, and was struck by how much Dennis Morgan and George Reeves look alike. I almost thought they really were brothers. Also, fans of the old Superman TV show from the 1950's will recognize George Reeves from his role as Superman! John Hamilton, who played Perry White (Clark Kent's boss at the Daily Planet on the Superman TV show) also had a fairly big part in this movie playing the part of Chief Ferris. I wondered if there was a connection.I really liked this movie, too. It was fun seeing Dennis Morgan sing. He really belted those Irish songs out, and seemed to be really enjoying himself doing it! It was definitely worth watching.

  • Strictly showcase for Morgan

This is a 70 minutes piece of schlock used as a vehicle for Dennis Morgan and his good looks and voice. He sings four songs in the short time of the film. Interesting seeing George Reeves and John Hamilton, Superman and Perry White much later on the TV series, in this early film. To show you how little this film is, the title has nothing whatsoever to do with the film until the penultimate frame of the movie! It's ridiculous!

  • Stupid title - GREAT MOVIE!

"Tear Gas Squad" played on 5/23,and I was surprised at what a great film this is, and what a great performer Dennis Morgan was. He's a wonderful singer and actor as well as a very handsome romantic lead.Too bad they gave the movie such stupid name. It's a good comedy/romance.
