Biased for this kind of movie as I followed WWII from beginning to end on radio and in newspapers. Filmed in black and white which enhances its impact. First class in story, presentation and pace with good acting throughout.

  • Very Good Movie-Brother Nazi v Brother Radio Star

My father was Army Air Corp,at the upper age for drafting, but he enlisted, and should've been in the JAGs office,as he was a civilian atty-but Uncle Sam wanted him for the Paratroopers-cuz he'd be a small target. This film shows not all heroes give life and or limb for the homeland.

As a post-war baby who had a father in the Canadian army (Canadians were actively involved in Second World War long before Americans although Americans like to pretend they won the war all by themselves) I was always fascinated by war movies. As a 9 year old my favorite TV show was Combat. (Meanwhile my dad was in Egypt serving in the Peace Corps - some things never change.)The German people were often thrown in with the Nazis in these movies. So it was great to watch this movie about the German Underground reminding us that many Germans hated the Nazis and actively fought back. Very exciting and emotional movie. If you want to see a war movie that isn't just a USA propaganda movie, I recommend this one.(Also, All Quiet on the Western Front)
