  • What about the hooker?

Unless I missed something, at what point did the reason for asking the sister what was her profession have to do with murder of her brother. I found it a pointless part of the trial.

  • Burt Lancaster is great as usual

A wonderful film that tackles the complex issues of crime, race, social decay and justice during an era when such issues may not have been addressed in such a public and commercial manner. May not be the greatest film, but Burt's character makes you want to sit, watch and wait to see how it ends. Lancaster was one of the greatest actors and he proves it time and time again...

  • A Pretty Good Movie

This was my first time viewing this movie. It was pretty good. I have a hard time watching Burt Lancaster though, and seeing him as anything other than the preacher or pirate. He did a good job in this movie. So did his wife, and all of the teenage criminals. I even put off doing some work around the house so I could finish watching this film, which is saying a lot.

Great movie! Saw it at the drive in when I was a kid. The white kid with the glasses scared the hell out of me!! The tall skinny blonde guy. Only Psycho and the shrew scared me as much at that time in my life growing up in the 1960,s . thanks for playing it. T.C.M. is the best !!!!!!!
