Innocent Sinners, a Rumer Godden story
- el debbo
What a wonderful movie! Great actors, delightful Puckish music. And it brings back the era when the buildings in London were "of a human scale" as Prince Charles says, and when people did not have cars. Because they were pedestrians, they stayed within a few blocks of home, getting to know one another. I see this so often in classic films, and appreciate a declining culture. One other reviewer found the dvd in the UK, I hope to do the same. 5 stars!

Loved this movie! It took me back to my childhood in London. I hope TCM will soon show it again!!
A Superb little motion-picture

I happened to see this film on TCM.I was"Smitten"almost immediately!June Archer's(Lovejoy)just grabbed me!I had nothing else to do that day(except for the dreaded housework),so I settled in and watched the complete film. The cast is Excellent(as is the writing, photography, music, and directing). Before it finished,I tried to find out when it would be showing again. It wasn't,so I went to my computer and tracked down a DVD of it from The UK.It arrived in excellent condition and promptly. In addition to this,it had been re-mastered.I cannot more highly recommend this wonderful motion-picture!i
Excellent Little Film
This is the first time I've seen this film and I must say I was quite impressed with it. It had a unique storyline that kept me interested from beginning to ending. I related to all the characters and their quirkiness. It was a childhood movie and an adult movie. I hope I'll be able to see this movie again soon. It deserves more than one viewing.
Very worthwhile English film
A thoroughly enjoyable and unique film. Gives you a good idea of English life for the times. I hope TCM runs it again in the near future. Would love to know more about the child actors who star in this movie - June Archer and Christopher Hey - they are wonderful. Movie shown in honor of Flora Robson who looks almost the same as she did in movies of the 30's.
