Without question a film gem from start to finish. The sands of time haven't dated this classic. Dick Van Dyke is his usual masterful self along side the delightful looker Sally Ann Howes. Dick tells the story quite wonderfully, keeping the attention of everyone. A true treasure that has a home at TCM.

A larger-than-life children's classic that's fun for the whole family! Beautifully filmed with lots of heart, thrills, and catchy tunes. A little long and drawn out in parts (particularly the "Posh" song) ... and I wish the whole adventure wasn't set up to have been just a story the father was telling (a really silly thing to do since the car ends up flying away at the end anyway) ... but those are small points to make about a hugely memorable film. The child catcher gave me the creeps as a child and still does! **** out of *****

What kid doesn't love this film? Loved it as a kid. As an adult I appreciate the cinematography, production design, orchestrations, more so than when I was younger, this was an expensive production! Childhood film is still fun and the score is wonderful. With the Child Catcher, the Baron and Baroness, Grandpa Potts, the zeppelin and the flying car there's a lot going on. See it widescreen. The intermission sequence if a blast!
