  The best film pairing of Hepburn & Tracy. As usual their chemistry shines through every scene, Holliday is outstanding in her debut. The Oscar-nominated screenplay is humurous & romantic, creating the original battle of the sexes movie, albeit with a few dull moments. The last great romantic-comedy of the 40's. I give it a 4.5/5.

  The chemistry between Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy is absolutely remarkable and their pairings are among the best ever on the screen. And Adam's Rib is one of their best. The supporting cast is stellar. Jean Hagen and Judy Holliday are incredibly good. Extremely well written, witty dialogue, expertly directed by George Cukor. A true classic.

  Hepburn and Tracy's off screen affections inform this entire project with a chemistry that has only been matched occasionally on screen. A great comedy, forward looking at its time. Supporting players are uniformly topnotch. Judy Holiday is always a pleasure to watch. Original in body language and voicings, see anything she did in her short career for a primer in comedy performance. If you haven't seen this film, do yourself a favor. If you have, relish it again.

  One of Hepburn and Tracy's best! The chemistry and play between them in court or at home is priceless! I have seen this movie several times and never get bored. Tom Ewell and Judy Holliday are just as entertaining. The scene in the beginning with Judy and how to "handle" the gun is also hilarious. I laugh until I cry every time I see it. It is quite entertaining watching the loving touches between Hepburn and Tracy under the table in the courtroom and then the sparring between them at home. I highly recommend this movie. Great, great filmmaking! Caren C.

  THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST "BATTLE OF THE SEXES" FILMS OF ALL TIME, MADE EVEN BETTER BECAUSE OF ITS STARS KATHERINE HEPBURN & SPENCER TRACY. I AM GREAT FAN OF BOTH STARS, AND THEY SHOW THEIR FULL ACTING ABILITIES IN THEIR RESPECTIVE ROLES. I WATCH IT EVERY TIME IT IS ON TCM AND TO ANYONE WHO HAS NOT YET SEEN IT, I RECOMMENDED IT.
