  • A pleasant surprise

Discovering what a beautiful and and strong screen presence Janet Leigh was in her early films is a real treat. Whenever she is on the screen I find myself only looking at her. That is absolute star power. How unfortunate that she never had a major role that was Oscar worty. For several years she was stringing films together but none of great significance,She simply carries this film moving it seems among a group of B actors and, a stupid plot and the attempt at acting by the great Enzio Pinza who is at least 35 years her senior.

  • Totally loved this movie

This movie was so enjoyable and fun to watch. Romantic, funny and just an all around good movie. When I saw it was on I taped it to my DVR and have watch it a couple of times. Will definitelly buy it once it comes out on DVD.

yes, it is old fashioned and at times silly, but Jane Leigh is gorgeous and young, and if you are an opera lover, nobody ever did sing the Golden Calf song from Faust like Ezio Pinza did here. The story is totally unbelievable but it was not made for that. For what it was made is perfect and totally enjoyable especially if you are not very young.I wish, TCM would bring it back or create the dvd. I stored it on my TV, but when I have changed server I have lost it! Should have copied first, but copying is not honorable - strictly speaking.

  • Very enjoyable

Anytime Ezio Pinza is in anything, I watch it just to hear his glorious voice. Formula romance but fun to see and hear.

  • totally wonderful!

The voice of Enzio Pinza, the luminous beauty of Janet Leigh as an ingenue dazzled by the great opera star. And a romance. Of course it is formula, but if you read romance you want a happy ending and this movie delivers!
