  • A surprise for mystery fans.

    Little known and seldom seen John Garfield flick is promoted as a 'crime drama'. To some degree it is, but is a lot more engrossing than a number of typical 'gumshoe'- reporter movies of the era. It is part satire, part comedy and to a lesser extent a murder mystery. Very interesting viewing and now in my top ten of films with 'quirky plots', Well worth viewing!
