Gene Kelly in his prime. His performance as a dancer and actor is unequalled in today's entertainment. ALL the performances were excellent behind Buzby's direction. Esther Williams need not be in the water either.

The Strictly USA number is the only great song. The film itself is a bit corny. A little goes a long way. But it is a fun movie. Garrett is a hoot. Not the best 1940's musical but not the worst.

Cute musical, great cast, especially Betty Garrett, who steals every scene she's in. Some good musical numbers, fine songs. A very pleasant film, well produced, excellent score.

I loved this movie. Frank Sinatra was absolutely hilarious and the songs were fantastic. Frankie had his song solo, Gene Kelly had his dance solo, Esther Williams had her swim solo, and everyone was happy. Great movie! Such a treasure!

i absolutely loved this one. whenever i'm sad, i listen to either "yes, indeedy" or "take me out to the ball game" and i feel so uplifted. the choreography is excellent, and frank and gene are marvelous together!!!

  • AAAH, GENE KELLY!! WHAT A HOME RUN!!

This is another GENE KELLY movie that I like very much. GENE is a bit more comical in this one, and as always, does a great job in his role. I love the opening routine with him and Frank, and the number with the two of them and Jules Munshin. GENE'S charm was put to the test in this movie, but I thought it was very fun to watch him try to appeal to a woman and be turned down---doesn't usually happen to GENE! But overall, this is a fun movie to watch. The humor is great and of course, GENE continues to warm and win your heart, although he's a bit cocky in the movie. I love the cockiness though. Watch it, you'll enjoy.
