  William Powell and Hedy Lamarr star in this comedy about an astronomer and his wife who's marriage is tested by her growing interest in astrology. Powell plays an astronomer who's come to some amount of importance, as he has discovered a comet that he predicts will become a spectacular celestial show. Lamarr plays his wife, and has increasingly become interested in astrology thanks to her neighbor, which causes some amount of comedic marital stress with her husband. Powell, who is continuously distracted by his scientific work, is offended that his wife shows such an interest in astrology. His wife, who is tired of her husband's time away from home, eventually consults an astrologer to guide her in her life. Eventually Lamarr meets another man, an appearance correctly predicted by her astrologer, and she begins to show a strong romantic interest in him. Hedy Lamarr must then decide to either leave her husband for a more compatible man, as her astrological reading says, or stay with her husband instead. This movie features James Craig as the other man, as well as Fay Bainter and a decent supporting cast. This movie drags quite a bit sometimes, but does contain some quality comedy by the cast including the obvious William Powell. The beautiful Hedy Lamarr, who never claimed to be the best comedic actress around and probably isn't, is at least fantastic to watch as her beauty is well on display. Lamarr does fairly well in this part, considering what it is, and her scenes with James Craig are well done. This comedy obviously isn't a highlight for either star, but it is worth watching if only to see these two together on the screen.
