This movie built up slowly and by the end I was laughing out loud at the unforgettable chase scene, which was worth the price of admission. Very funny and entertaining, which is why I watch films in the first place.
Excellent acting; very, very funny. P.S. I hope you elevate Tiffany Vazquez.
embrace the madness
this has nothing to do with reality and that is a good thing. what ever gender..race ..age ..anything you are..if you talk like clark gable in this ..you are going to have fun in life and no one will call you boring. I bet the people who came up with stripes with bill murray watched this. same thing for moments in Indiana jones and the last crusade..you could figure it out.speaking of bill murray..the guy wants the academy award. he has been like a fisherman trolling for tuna..putting out Oscar bait for years. just give it to him..like a surprise party. say you made a mistake and he won it for meatballs. this story was fun..nothing complex..just a way to take it easy for a while.

Gable and Lamarr Re-teamed
- Bruce Reber
"Comrade X" re-teams Clark Gable and Hedy Lamarr from "Boom Town"(1938), and it's a pretty good pre WW2 comedy about an American reporter(Gable) who wins over a Russian streetcar conductor. Very funny tank chase scene at the end.
Comrade X (1940)
Most definitely a take off on Ninotchka from a year earlier, but it's not nearly as good. Still, it has it's charms and a terrific cast. The supporting players outshine the stars in this one
