As a young girl, Helen Mallory found herself trapped upstairs when the family home caught on fire. Unable to bring herself to scream for help, she also had to watch her parents die. The trauma has left her mute for over 20 years, for which Professor Sherman is treating her. As the mystery unfolds, we learn that Sherman was the man responsible for starting the fire and killing her parents.
