Set in 1923, the true story of the events which occurred in Rosewood, Florida after a white woman unjustly accused a black man of rape. Fueled by anger and racism, an angry white mob burned down the town and massacred its inhabitants. One man, the only white storekeeper in Rosewood, risked his own life by teaming with a black drifter to help women and children escape to safety.

Tom has taken a job with his uncle as an armoured car courier. They currently have $3 million entrusted to their care when they are caught in the rising waters of the Mississippi during a major flood. Jim is a career criminal who hopes to get out of crime by pulling off one last job: stealing the $3 million. His plan goes terribly wrong when Tom refuses to do the easy thing and give up the money. However, both face the sheriff of the small town who has plans of his own for the cash.

When Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Enterprise gets word that Lt. Commander Data has run amok and taken a cultural survey team hostage, his first concern is to save Data--who will have to be destroyed if he cannot be repaired. But when Picard investigates, he finds something strange about the Ba'ku, the race the survey team was observing. The Enterprise command team also discovers that there is more to the supposed cultural survey than they had been told. Soon, Captain Picard is forced to choose between disobeying a direct order and violating the Prime Directive of the Federation.
