Born: Marion Neiswanger, October, 24, 1875 Richmond, VA
Died: October 2, 1970 Los Angeles, CA
Fairfax began her career as a playwright working with director Marshall Neilan. While with Neilan, she wrote ‘Freckles,’ and ‘The Lotus Eater’ for the stage, later joining the ranks of female directors. Fairfax is most widely known for writing the 1925 classic, "The Lost World." Marion was married to actor Tully Marshall and her sister Alberta was a stage actress.
