The Getaway (1972) as Special Effects
Doc McCoy has been granted parole. The catch is that Sheriff Beynon expects a small favour from McCoy for his generocity: robbing another bank! Beynon does not really intend to let McCoy walk away after the heist and neither does co-robber Rudy Butler, but stopping Doc proves a trifle difficult.

An aging rodeo rider tries to deal with his dysfunctional family.

The Ballad of Cable Hogue (1970) as Special Effects
Cable Hogue is left to die in the dessert. After days of wandering the dunes he collapses from dehydration and heat-exhastion. He notices some mud on his boot however and manages to uncover a mudhole turn it into a life-saving puddle. Eventually he sets up rest stop here and sells water and provisions to travellers and prospers. He takes in a young woman into his dessert home named Hildy who was expelled from Gila for lowering the morals of the town.

A group of aging cowboys look for one last score in a corrupt border town.
