Personal Character Review
- Maxine Ferris
Yes, I have seen this man in many older movies and remember his face distinctly. I am almost positive this is the same man I met back in 1971 at Famous-Barr Dept Store in St. Louis, MO. He so kindly bought a small pink poodle made of pompoms for my small daughter who was about 3yrs old. He did not mention his name, but proudly proceeded to show me a wallet full of photos of his small fans. I believe he said that he didn't have any children of his own, but loved all his little "fans". Such a kind man of whom me and my daughter have never forgotten, she is 43 years old now.
Edward Everett Horton
Edward Everett Horton contributed countless efforts in many roles. His distinctive oratory skills were especially highlighted in the multi layered satire of the late 1950s, Rocky and Bullwinkle series as the narrator of the hilarious Fractured Fairy Tales segment.
Why can we not buy his movies
It saden me that a wonderful man like Edward Horton movies are not up for sell. I was just looking for the movie we wacthed this Am (The Body Disappears) with hopes of buying it and others. He may have been a side kick in most of his movies. But he always took the show. I also been looking for movies of an old sidekick of his which sadly I do not recall her real name only her nickname ( Horse face and a great movie she made called The Black Borad Murder. They were the best. Movies that you didnt have to worry about kids watching. Realy funny movies unlike what they put out nowdays. I am sure that not only I would love to have their movies but others as well. PLEASE Bring us their movie and aprice people on SS can aford to buy. We all need a good smell now more than ever.
More info about Horton, please.
Why on earth hasn't a biography ever been done on this man? He is a treasure. Anything that I see with his name listed is something I will make sure to watch. He deserves more attention. BTW, he was indeed the voice of Fractured Fairy Tales; in fact, he is listed as the narrator for those episodes on the cartoons themselves.
Edward Everett Horton - Star of the Month?
- Charlie Howell
Before he became a fixture as a supporting actor in so many classic films that are in the Turner library, Edward Everett Horton actually starred in a few very early talkies for Warners. I know they're probably pretty creaky compared to even the films of just a couple of years later, but I'd love to see some of them. He's such a beloved film comedian - Why not make him a Star of the Month? Or even do a selection of character actors as Stars of the Month, with Horton as one of them!
Rocky and Bullwinkle
- Doreen Porter
...was he a cartoon character in the 60's? For some reason I thought he sounded like the narrator in the cartoon series Rocky and Bullwinkle?HELP!!My husband and I recognize his voice but, cannot place him!
