Harry Hines worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Hines' career beginnings include film roles in "Mr. Belvedere Rings the Bell" (1951), the Farley Granger crime drama "Strangers On a Train" (1951), and "Last of the Pony Riders" (1953). Film became Hines' next endeavor, appearing in the adaptation "Riding Shotgun" (1954) with Randolph Scott, the action picture "The Raid" (1954) with Van Heflin and "Friendly Persuasion" (1956) with Gary Cooper. He also appeared in the Elvis Presley musical "Jailhouse Rock" (1957), the Jean Simmons musical comedy "This Could Be the Night" (1957) and the crime feature "Party Girl" (1958) with Robert Taylor. Toward the end of his career, Hines acted in the dramatic adaptation "The Interns" (1962) with Michael Callan.
