Barbara Hicks has built an incredible presence on the big screen throughout her acting career. Hicks kickstarted her acting career in various films such as the John Millis drama "Hell, Heaven or Hoboken" (1958), the comedic adaptation "A Touch of Larceny" (1960) with James Mason and the Richard Attenborough drama "The Third Secret" (1964). She also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Charge of the Light Brigade" (1968) with Trevor Howard, the Sheila Hancock comedy "The Wildcats of St. Trinian's" (1980) and "Memoirs of a Survivor" (1981). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in the Mel Smith comedy "Morons From Outer Space" (1985), the dramatic comedy "We Think the World of You" (1988) with Alan Bates and "Wilt" (1990) with Mel Smith. She also appeared in the Geraldine McEwan dramatic adaptation "Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit" (1990). Recently, she continued to act in "Fairytale - A True Story" (1997) with Florence Hoath, "Remember Me?" (1999) and the dramatic adaptation "Up At the Villa" (2000) with Kristin Scott Thomas.
