Second wife of comedian Fatty Arbuckle, they were married at the bride’s mothers home in San Marino. Three years later Dorris filed for divorce on the grounds of Arbuckle making love to other women and extreme cruelty. Arbuckle subjected her to extreme humiliation and mistreatment. Dorris asked for $750 per week and part of Arbuckle’s property. This was Arbuckle’s second marriage to end in divorce. It was reported by Dorris that Arbuckle often said that he would never live to be old, his weight would end his life. She later married E.S. Hartz, a Beverly Hills banker. Deane died of a heart attack.
