Body by Michelangelo was how Mike Herny was described, the 6ft 4 inch former pro football player, worked in small roles till he was tested for the role of Tarzan in 1964, Henry went on to star in three Tarzan films, Tarzan and the Vallley of Gold filmed in Mexico, and Tarzan and the Great River, Tarzan and the Jungle Boy filmed in the Amazon jungle in South Amercia, many fans agree Henry's protrayal of the role was close to writer Edgar Rice Burrough's character then other film Tarzans. Henry was to go on to star in the TV series, but Henry was injured, and became ill in the jungle, and withdrew from the role, Ron Ely took over the TV series, Henry went on to work in many films like the Green Berets with John Wayne, and Rio Lobo with John Wayne. Henry can be seen on utube in the role of Tarzan, and his films can be found on dvd.
