I just saw 'Three Came Home' for the first time this morning. I was very impressed with the cast, especially Claudette Colbert, Patric Knowles, and Mr. Hayakawa, who made me cry when he acted in the scene where he gives the hungry children a buffet lunch not long after learning that his own family had been incinerated in Hiroshima. This character could have been a complete caricature, but he played it very well, and I was struck at how relevant this movie is even today, in this age of uncertainty, and I believe the message was tolerance. The performance was delicate and beautifully played. Thank you for presenting such important films.

His acting is superb, no matter the role he portrays. You can love him or hate him for the role he performs.
