Neneh Cherry brought her musical talents to a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. Cherry worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "ABC in Concert" (ABC, 1990-98). She appeared in a number of television specials, including "MTV's Dawn of the Decade House Party" (MTV, 1989-1990) and "Red, Hot & Blue" (ABC, 1990-91). Cherry also contributed music to the dramedy "Slaves of New York" (1989) with Bernadette Peters and the crime mystery "Until the End of the World" (1991) with William Hurt. In the nineties, Cherry devoted her time to various credits, such as "The Sounds of Summer" (ABC, 1992-93), "Sliver" (1993) starring Sharon Stone and "The 1995 World Music Awards" (ABC, 1994-95). She also worked on "Independence Day Concert From the Glastonbury Festival" (ABC, 1996-97). Cherry's music was also a part of the action picture "The Long Kiss Goodnight" (1996) with Geena Davis, the Gillian Anderson dramatic comedy "Playing By Heart" (1998) and the comedy adaptation "Welcome to Woop Woop" (1998) with Johnathon Schaech.
