  • One special actor, handsome and talented

I remember being a fan of Jeff Chandler clear back in the early 50's and I am still a fan of his movies today. As a teenager, I thought he was one of the most handsome men I'd ever seen on screen. As a drama student in college, I still rate him as a "Presence" on screen and a believable character in any role, especially as "Cochise". Would have loved to have known him. What a shame he died so young as a result of medical malpractice.

I have seen one movie of Jeff Chandler on TV and that was the above title. I agree, he was a very handsome man. I learned that he played football, so that's why he was so muscular. I am sorry that he died at a young age. Recently I listened to a song of his, "I Should Care" and it was so nice to hear. He had a wonderful singing voice. Even though he is gone he is still living in his movies. Please TCM, show us some of his movies, for those who have seen a few or none of his movies. Thank you.

  • jeff chandler: silver haired tough guy

jeff chandler was a top star in the 1950's with such gems as "broken arrow", "iron man", "red ball express", "female on the beach", "the spoilers", "jeanne eagles", "man in the shadow", "ten seconds to hell" and "merrill's marauders". a silver haired handsome fine actor who played in westerns, swashbucklers, war films etc. he seems overlooked today. his films rarely seen on cable today. tcm should honor some films on mr. chandler. he died too soon, but for me any many others he will be remembered as that great he-man of the movies with that great baritone voice.

  • A MOST UNDERRATED ACTOR !

Apparently a lot of people are eager to see Jeff Chandler's movies on TCM. I can only fully agree with them !!!! He definitely was a good actor. What a pity he died at the very moment he was acting in A-level movies ! Very sad indeed. I am still hoping you will make our wish come true and make us very happy indeed Greetings from Belgium

I would love to see Jeff Chandler in any of his movies. I'm 65 and can still remember him in a movie where he played a native - anyway, he was one of the most handsome men I've ever seen on screen bar none. I was so sorry to find out he had died. Still, I would love to see some of his movies.

I think that Jeff Chandler is one of the best looking actors. His work in the movies was out standing. The movies where some of the greatest. I do not know why you do not show them on TCM. I have been waiting for you to show Bird Of Paradise and The lady Takes A Flyer for years they are my favorite movies of Mr. Chandler. I am 60YRs young and would love to see them once more.Could you please tell me why they have not been shown or when they might be? Thank You Linda kdolphincove@msn.com
