Derek Cecil's acting career took off when he was just 17 years old. Cecil started his acting career in various dramas, including "Nash Bridges" (CBS, 1995-2001), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-) and "The Beat" (UPN, 1999-2000). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Unspoken Truth" (NBC, 1995). He also took on a few movie roles at the time, appearing in "Pop Love" (1995). He continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Push, Nevada" (ABC, 2002-03) and "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2004-). Following that project, he worked on the Tommy Lee Jones hit action film "Men in Black II" (2002) and "Reunion" (2009). He spent the early 2000s and the 2010s tackling film roles in "The Next Three Days" (2010) with Russell Crowe, the Jennifer Westfeldt drama "Friends With Kids" (2012) and the Jason Statham thrilling adaptation "Parker" (2013). He also worked in television during these years, including roles in "The Good Wife" (CBS, 2009-) and "Banshee" (Cinemax, 2012-). Cecil most recently acted in "Mall Cop" (2014). Cecil was nominated for an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series Screen Actors Guild Award for "House of Cards" in 2015...
