After 26 years of marriage, Steve and his wife Jackie decide to call it quits. The newly divorced workaholic finds himself thrust back into the dating scene but the bars and the singles scene is not what either of them expected.

Chelsea has been accused of stealing a painting from a Manhattan art dealer. Her attorney, Laura Kelly, is so certain that the case involves far more than a stolen painting, that she involves D.A. Tom Logan in the investigation. Tom learns that Chelsea's father was an art collector and that Chelsea witnessed a fire in their home as a small child. The fire was thought to have destroyed the entire collection, so when one of the paintings goes on display at a Manhattan gallery, Tom realizes that Laura was right.
