Just watched Kiss Me Kate again for the umpteenth time. I've always loved this movie. Beautiful music and an excellent cast and production. Ms. Grayson was totally wonderful here with her beautiful and expressive voice and her acting ability, not to mention her pretty face and gorgeous figure. I'm glad she was able to live for 88 years.

That Midnight Kiss

I loved this movie. Kathryn Grayson has such a beautiful voice and I loved the music in it. Mario Lanza held his own when singing duets with her. Kathryn Grayson is a wonderful role model for singers making use of the lyrical singing style. The movie was very funny too with a wonderful cast supporting her. I wish singers sang like her today. They are out there but very many. Claire Brown
mario lanza said it best. her lips -her eyes-her cheeks- her hair. i only wish i had met her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS GRAYSON....
Kathryn Grayson-A Golden Voice from the Golden Era
- bob snyder
The beautiful and uniquely talented Kathryn Grayson performed dazzling renditions of both classic arias and popular songs, and brought an elegant presence to many movies during the Golden Era of Musicals in the 40's and 50's which, unfortunately, ended as she was just reaching her peak. A TCm "Star of the MOnth" tribute to this Classy Lady is long overdue and I hope that she (and I) live long enough to see and appreciate it!

the first thing is her eyes and her singing, her singing made me have chiles throught my while body, what a voice and her eyes look right thru you,i which i could meet her and listen her sing for me, also i think she was a great actor also.
A beautiful woman with a heavenly voice and blessed with a multitude of talents! I have loved every one of her musicals, especially those with Howard Keel. How I wished they did more. She ventured into TV in the mid 50's: great performances from dramatic roles to guest appearances. Always a Lady. I am so sorry that Robert Osborne did not interview her for Private Screenings. I definitely feel that Miss Grayson is long overdue for one of your special TCM tributes. Surely, you can find or do something which is worthy of her.
i know she is in her eighties, but she is still a beauty.but most of all she always gave the appearance of being a real lady.
Most Beautiful Actress

Kathryn Grayson is a favorite performer of mine. I've always wondered why she is rarely if ever mentioned as one of the most beautiful actresses from The Golden Age of Cinema. I always like how you can tell her character in her movies: short eyelashes means saucy and long eyelashes mean sweet! I have a community radio program that focuses on film music and I always end my show with Kathryn singing "Beauty" from Ziegfeld Follies. There are some films of hers I have yet to see: Grounds For Marriage, The Vagabond King, Seven Sweethearts, The Vanishing Virginian. I would love to meet her someday or perhaps she'll write a book about her experiences as the MGM girls all have great stories to tell.

Kathryn Grayson is my all time favourite singer. Such a beautiful voice and a lovely actress...it's a shame she wasn't in more movies and a shame she didn't make any records. I wish you could play all her movies for us here in Canada.
I think Kathryn Grayson was a lovely singer! I love all of the movies she played in. I am 18 years old,and am a big fan of old classic movies, especially musicals.Kathryn Grayson had a wonderful soprano voice.Thank you for showing her movies! Please show more!!!!!!!!!!
Kathryn Grayson-Mario Lanza fan

Back in the late 1940's and 1950's, there were two movie performers, Mario Lanza who had a magnificent natural tenor voice, and Kathryn Grayson, who had a superb natural coloratura soprano voice. They performed together in two movie musicals, one of which "The Toast of New Orleans" has some of the finest musical numbers one could hope to hear. The finale of the movie, the Love Duet from Madama Butterfly, by itself, makes the movie well worthwhile. I would love to see more of the last movies of Kathryn Grayson on TCM, not for the stories which, like most musicals, are trite, but for the musical numbers.
Best soprano to come along since J. MacDonald

Opera/operetta in film today seems absurd to many, but back when audiences paid to hear 'em hit the high notes, Kathryn Grayson was one of the last stars to make it on her trilling ability. She was a little cold as an actress, but made up for that with her voice, winning Keel and Kelly's hearts, not to mention, more than a few of the audience's.
