Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

A Quebec-based actor, Patrick Goyette has appeared extensively -- and almost exclusively -- in French-Canadian film and television productions. His first substantial role arrived when he began a recurring part on the period romantic drama series "Les filles de Caleb" (Radio-Canada, 1990). Goyette later went on to work with director Robert Lepage on two thrillers: "Le confessional" (1995), which also featured Lothaire Bluteau and Kristin Scott Thomas, and "Le polygraphe" (1996), a movie that he co-wrote with Lepage and fellow star Marie Brassard. After a rare foray into English-language films with the crime drama "Four Days" (1999), he appeared in the French/English historical epic "Battle of the Brave" (2004) along with numerous notable names, including Gérard Depardieu and Tim Roth. Continuing to indulge in his penchant for thrillers, Goyette later starred in the tense "La Cicatrice" (2012), with both Goyette and his fellow actor Marc Béland garnering acclaim for their emotive performances.
