In post-apocalyptic, totalitarian America of the 21st century, policeman Ben Richards is framed for a crime he did not commit. Ben escapes from jail, determined to prove his innocence, but is captured. As punishment, he is teamed with a woman named Amber Mendez and forced to participate in a violent TV game show called The Running Man. The two "contestants" face what is most likely a public execution, as they run a gauntlet of assassins armed with chainsaws and other brutal weapons. They can win the contest and obtain their freedom...if they survive.

Beating out Bob Fosse's "Star 80" by nearly two years, this version of the tragic story of "Playboy" centerfold Dorothy Stratten, the starry-eyed Canadian teenager who went to Hollywood seeking stardom, gave Jamie Lee Curtis her first TV starring role and Bruce Weitz (Belker on "Hill Street Blues") his as seedy promoter Paul Snider, who promised the girl a career both as a star and as his wife. Mitchell Ryan is Hugh Hefner and Robert Reed a fictional director named David Palmer (loosely based on Peter Bogdanovich).

Halloween II (1981) as Hairstyles
Shaken and injured from her battle with unkillable psycho Michael Myers, Laurie Strode is taken to the Haddonfield Hospital for observation, while Dr. Sam Loomis continues his desperate search for his monstrous patient. After slashing his way through the town, Myers manages to track Laurie to the hospital. Numerous night-shift employees are slaughtered in a variety of gruesome ways as Myers closes in on his fixation.
