Goldberg has been nominated for Emmys three times with the TV series, "Family" (1976/77, 1977/78, 1979/80). The producer is known for having introduced the made for TV movie during his time as ABC's head of programming, also for such shows as "The Dating Game" (1965-73), "The Newlywed Game" (1966-74) and "Dark Shadows" (1966-71) and with Aaron Spelling "Charlie's Angels" (1976-81), "Starsky and Hutch" (1975-79), "Fantasy Island" (1978-84) and TV movie, "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble" (1976). Goldberg is a member of the Malibu Racket Club.

Goldberg is a member of the board for the Spectradyne Inc.

He is also a member and on the board of directors to Cedars Sinai Hospital.
