Arthur Godfrey was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Godfrey's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as the comedy "Four For Texas" (1963) with Frank Sinatra and the comedy "The Glass Bottom Boat" (1966) with Doris Day. He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "The Reason Nobody Hardly Ever Seen a Fat Outlaw in the Old West Is As Follows:" (NBC, 1966-67). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Rickles" (CBS, 1975-76) and "CBS: On the Air" (CBS, 1977-78). During these years, he additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in "Where Angels Go... Trouble Follows" (1968). Godfrey was most recently credited in the comedy "Born Romantic" (2001) with Craig Ferguson. He also was featured in the TV movie "Flatbed Annie & Sweetiepie: Lady Truckers" (CBS, 1978-79). Godfrey's distinctive voice can be heard on "Citizens Band" (1977) with Paul Le Mat. Godfrey passed away in March 1983 at the age of 80.
