Kathryn Givney was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Givney began her acting career with roles in such films as "Lover Come Back" (1931), the Donald O'Connor comedy adventure "Double Crossbones" (1950) and the dramatic adaptation "A Place in the Sun" (1951) with Montgomery Clift. She also appeared in the action movie "Operation Pacific" (1951) with John Wayne, the crime flick "Lightning Strikes Twice" (1951) with Richard Todd and "Little Egypt" (1951). She continued to act in productions like "Too Young to Kiss" (1951) with June Allyson, the musical comedy "Let's Do It Again" (1953) with Jane Wyman and "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954) with Clifton Webb. She also appeared in the comedy "Lady Godiva" (1955) with Maureen O'Hara. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Joan Collins dramatic adaptation "The Wayward Bus" (1957), "A Certain Smile" (1958) with Rossano Brazzi and the Alan Ladd dramatic adaptation "The Man in the Net" (1959). She also appeared in "From the Terrace" (1960) and the Glenn Ford dramatic adaptation "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" (1962). Givney last appeared in "Prudence and the Chief" (ABC, 1969-1970).
