    As a child, I lived across the street from Arnie Gillespie. He was to all the children in our neighborhood, a very kind and generous person. We all swam in his pool, even though most of us had our own. In particular, he was extemely kind to my brother, who had been ill with polio. They shared an interest in things bizarre and Arnie was forever giving him litttle scary props from his films and just spending time with him. He will always have a special place in my heart.
