Jungle Queen, Gifford had her first starring role in the film serial Jungle Girl in 1941, in 1943 she costared with Johnny Weissmuler in Tarzan Triumphs as a jungle princess, who's kingdom is taken over by nazis. Gifford's natural good looks, athletic skills made her perfect for these roles, however in 1948 she was badly injured in a tragic auto accident. She recovered, but the injuries limted her work, in the early 1950's she left film work, her last film was Sky Commando, she was the sister of football great Frank Gifford, she passed away in 1994, but I will always remember her as the beautiful jungle queen.
