Director of photography. Born April 26, 1890 in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Died 1947. Graduate of Colorado School of Mining. Entered films in 1911 as assistant cameraman. In 1918, he was one of the founding members of the American Society of Cinematographers. During WW II, served as a navy commander in Iceland and the Pacific. Collapsed and died on the set during production of "Portrait of Jennie."
