When screen and stage performer Kathy Garver was just 10 years old, she appeared in an episode of the short-lived 1950s series "Crusader" alongside actor Brian Keith. The elder thespian made such an impression on the young actress that she became a lifelong fan, idolizing him during her formative years while she featured in such golden-era programs as the "The Rifleman" and "The Bing Crosby Show". In 1966, Garver jumped at the chance to work with Keith again on the seminal sitcom "Family Affair", in which Garver played the oldest of three orphaned children being raised by their uncle. In the ensuing decades, the actress continued to appear in TV shows and occasional film roles, most of which skewed toward young audiences. As a voice actress, she was in the 1980s animated series "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" as well as the updated, Avi-Arad-produced 1994-1998 series "Spider-Man". She also contributed voices to "The New Yogi Bear Show" and "The Tom and Jerry Kids Show". In addition to performing in the Garry Marshall film "The Princess Diaries", the actress has also released her own set of Beatrix Potter and Mother Goose audiobooks. In 2003, Garver appeared in an episode of the "Family Affair" revival series.
