COMPLETE FILMOGRAPHY WITH SYNOPSIS
Cast (feature film)
A documentary on the legendary, maligned and misunderstood filmmaker, Edward D. Wood Jr, which explores not only his cult flicks, but also questions just who this enigmatic man really was...
A mad scientist fights to create a race of supermen.
Nightclub singer Fran Davis (Shelley Winters) is out to educate her out-of-town friend Phyllis Matthews (Coleen Miller)on the ins-and-outs of life in the Big City. But, par for the course in this Joseph Pevney potboiler, publisher Mike Marsh (Barry Sullivan), Fran's lover and unhappy married man to begin with, falls in love with Phyllis. There is a misunderstanding of the situation by the two girls. The girls quarrel, Marsh is shot, Fran hits the skids and she and Phyllis, to say the least, are on the outs. Then Fran learns that Phyllis is about to be used unwittingly as a decoy in a murder. Fran rides to her friend's rescue.
Vic Brady draws young Don Gregor into a life of crime. He then blackmails Gregor's plastic surgeon father into fixing up his face so he can evade the cops. This is Steve Reeves' first speaking part.
A lawyer defends a migrant worker in a sensational murder trial.
Upon discovering the suicide of a known transvestite, the police inspector seeks enlightenment from a psychiatrist familiar with the phenomenom. The psychiatrist tells him two tales. Glen is to be married to Barbara, but must find a way to tell her of his desire to wear her angora sweater, and of his cross-dressing needs in general. Another is the story of Alan, who decides to physically become a female via surgery (based on the contemporary story of Christine Jorgensen). Throughout the film a scientist inanely babbles about life and death in order to somehow elucidate the story.
A mad scientist named Arana is creating giant spiders and dwarves in his lab on Zarpa Mesa in Mexico. He wants to create a master race of superwomen by injecting his female subjects with spider venom.
