Ruth Ford was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Ford's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Secrets of the Lone Wolf" (1941), "Lady Gangster" (1942) and "The Lady Is Willing" (1942) with Marlene Dietrich. She also appeared in "Adventure in Iraq" (1943) and the comedy "Princess O'Rourke" (1943) with Olivia de Havilland. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties and the sixties, appearing in the Gregory Peck drama "The Keys of the Kingdom" (1945), "Wilson" (1945) with Alexander Knox and the drama "Dragonwyck" (1946) with Gene Tierney. She also appeared in "Strange Impersonation" (1946). In the latter half of her career, she continued to act in the George Hamilton dramatic adaptation "Act One" (1963), the drama "The Tree" (1969) with Jordan Christopher and the Tuesday Weld drama "Play It As It Lays" (1972). She also appeared in "Too Scared to Scream" (1982). Ford more recently appeared on "Orson Welles: What Went Wrong?" (Cinemax, 1992-93). Ford passed away in August 2009 at the age of 98.
