Henry Fonda is truly one of the great leading men of Hollywood. His work in the grapes of wrath and my darling clementine prove his ability to play a wide variety of roles with depth. His role as a member of the jury in 12 angry men who believes in the innocence of the defendent plays up to that depth. His work, his life will live on for generationis to come.

  • Best actor you can find on Mainstreet.

He is the best actor you can find. He's funny, and really knows how to play the part. Very good actor. Whenever he plays a part, it's never Henry Fonda, it's whoever he's a playin'. He always plays the part of the person, never himself.

One of the movies' best "everyman" actors, and in all of his films I've seen he never gave a bad performance, despite occasional miscasting (his Midwestern accent in War and Peace's Russia?). He somehow seems best in his more famous roles, Norman Thayer in On Golden Pond and Tom Joad in The Grapes of Wrath, though very watchable in even his worst films.
