One of Canada's most prolific character actors, Barry Flatman racked up hundreds of film and TV credits including "Earth: Final Conflict" (Syndication, 1997-2002), "Saw III" (2006) and "Fargo" (FX, 2014- ). Born in Victoria, British Columbia in 1950, Flatman made his acting debut in teen sketch show "Homemade Television" (CBC, 1976-77) and spent the next decade honing his talents with small parts in the likes of "The Dead Zone" (1983), "Easy Prey" (1986) and "Switching Channels" (1988) before landing his first recurring role as the father figure in "Ramona" (CBC, 1988-89), starring a young Sarah Polley in the lead role made famous by children's author Beverly Cleary. During a five-year spell voicing various characters in "X-Men" (Fox Kids, 1992-97), Flatman also showed up in TV movies "The Morrison Murders: Based on a True Story" (1996) and "My Mother's Ghost" (1996), appeared on the big screen in "The Cutting Edge" (1992) and "Terminal Justice" (1996) and guested on "E.N.G." (CTV, 1990-94) and "Robocop: The Series" (CTV, 1994). After becoming another Jigsaw victim in "Saw III" (2006), Flatman played General Thomas Bennett in "The Kennedys" (History Television, 2011) and Darryl F. Zanuck in "The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe" (Lifetime, 2015), and landed the roles of NSA director Charles Beeter in "The Andromeda Strain" (A&E Network, 2008), Colonel Galen Marsh in "Defiance" (Syfy, 2013- ) and head of security Wally in "Fargo" (FX, 2014- ).
