NOTES

Fawcett's former manager, Jay Bernstein, recalls that during her heyday of the late 1970s, "I saw in Farrah the possibility of a real legend--baseball, apple pie, and Chevrolets." (Quoted in "Earl Blackwell's Entertainment Celebrity Register", 1991)

"Since 'The Apostle', I've become a little spoiled. I've passed on some things I thought were gratuitous-female parts. What I love is change and challenge." --Farrah Fawcett to Bob Thomas in The Philadelphia Inquirer, October 17, 1999.

"Virtually everything you read about me that perpetuates negativity has no substance to it whatsoever. Throughout my career, whether I choose to pull back from the public eye or not, they've made up stuff." --Farrah Fawcett to Daily News, October 13, 1999.

"I have made it in this town without sleeping with one person. I'm not in Warren [Beatty]'s book and I'm not in Jack [Nicholson]'s book, And I'm proud of that." --Fawcett to Talk, December 1999-January 2000.

"If anybody thinks I'm stupid enough to have a drink or use drugs, they are out their minds." --Fawcett in USA Today, December 18, 1997.

"I am who I am...If I'm on location in the woods and my trailer is miles away, I will go to the bathroom in the bushes...that's who I am."-Fawcett Movieline November 2002
