  • My impression of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.

Completely under rated, absolutely gorgeous and extremely talented. I adore him! After reading various articles and his book, Salad Days, I wish I had known him. He seemed like a fun loving guy who liked to play pranks on his friends and had the best sense of humor. I just can't say enough about him.

A very seasoned and solid performer...who nonetheless had no major films to his name. It happens that way sometimes, as with any career, there's an element of luck involved. I enjoyed "Sinbad" which is a very enjoyable cult classic.

Douglas Fairbanks, Jr is an actor who often is not mentioned much but I feel he is a superb actor with many great movies. I love watching him in The Life of Jimmy Dolan (1933), Union Depot (1932) and Love is a Racket (1932) which are some of his lesser known films. I love his movies because early 1930's films are better than today's movies and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr is my favorite actor due to his many film performances in movies that are sometimes not regognized. This excellent and charming movie star should gain recognition for his movies and his contribution to film.
