Troy Evans is an American film and television actor best known for his roles in "ER" and "China Beach." Evans graduated from Flathead High School in 1966, and served two tours in Vietnam before 1969. Upon his return to the United States he worked numerous jobs before developing an interest in acting. Evans made his television debut in 1982 with a supporting role on "Filthy Rich," and soon landed recurring roles on "Hill Street Blues" and "Mama's Family." In 1985 he was cast as a rival basketball coach in the high school comedy "Teen Wolf," and next appeared in the vampire thriller "Near Dark" and the romantic comedy "Modern Girls." In 1989 Evans landed the role of Sergeant Bob Pepper on "China Beach," and portrayed the WWII veteran and hospital driver for two seasons of the critically acclaimed series. The following year he portrayed a high school principal in the pilot episode of the David Lynch series "Twin Peaks," and appeared in the mob comedy "My Blue Heaven." In the early '90s he was a regular cast member on the family drama "Life Goes On," and later appeared in such movies as "Ace Ventura : Pet Detective" and "Demolition Man."
