TCM should have a John Ericson day
As far as I know John Ericson has never had his own day on TCM. He really deserves one. Although he was not a major star, he was an excellent actor who made a number of good films - Theresa, Rhapsody, Bad Day at Black Rock, Pretty Boy Floyd, The Seven Faces of Dr Lao. What's more, at the time of writing (2017) he is still alive, aged 90, and could be interviewed on TCM as part of the introduction.
Not seen often enough!
I've no idea why this gorgeous man did not get more good roles in film but he should have! His performance in "Rhapsody" was outstanding. It was filled with the angst known particularly to musicians who are notorious for not believing in themselves. His face registers every emotion and I found him a great foil for the actresses of the day. We know so little about John Ericson but perhaps that was his choice. It is a shame we didn't get to see him develop as an actor in film, as I am certain he could have been one of the greats.
